It tastes like sweet licorice with a spark of spicy.

Anise has multiple uses in the kitchen. The leaves can be flavored salads; vegetables: beans, peas, carrots; infusions; meats such as pork, duck; seafood; alcohols.

Properties: diuretic, carminative, stomachic, expectorant, cough and bronchitis.
